It is also home to the annual Nedbank Golf Challenge which plays host to some of the world’s golfing legends.
The Lost City Golf Course with undulating and rocky terrain has an 18-hole desert-style golf course that is surrounded by spectacular views across the bushveld. Hundreds of other mammals make their home here, as do diverse bird species such as vultures, eagles and storks. Mountains, bush plains and tropical forests are all part of the landscape.
DAY 6: Leopard Creek Golf Course
Breakfast and a transfer to the exquisite Leopard Creek Golf course.
Leopard Creek is another of the Gary Player designed course bordering the Kruger National Park, separated by nothing less than the crocodile river. The Leopard Creek Golf Course is, hands down, South Africa’s best safari golfing experience
When you imagine a golf course in this harsh and dry habitat it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that the grounds are just as scrubby and arid as its lowveld surroundings but nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, no cost has been spared in creating one of the lushest and indeed finest playing surfaces in the country.
The emerald green surfaces and white sculpted bunkers are naturally protected from the resident wildlife through innovative architecture and landscaping. That said, hazards at Leopards Creek certainly take on a new meaning with sightings of crocodile, hippo, antelope, buffalo and elephant being all too common. A dream for the safari enthusiast!
Early morning game drive to the Kruger National Park followed by a scenic drive through the panaromic route of Hazyview and views of Mac Mac falls, Graskop Gorge lift, Gods Window and the three Rondawels.
The Zenith of the Panorama Route, this is such a picturesque view point that it has been called “God’s Window”, due to the sheer natural beauty contained in one view. Uniquely located North of Graskop, while standing at this view point you get a beautiful view of the panoramic lowveld. You will be able to view the magnificent Blyde River Canyon
Late arrival at Sabi River Sun resort
The choice of a early morning tee off or a lie in. A midday flight from Nelspruit to Cape town will keep your day busy. From the bushveld to the coast. the contrast is overwhelming. It will be difficult to think that you are still in the same country.
Its off to the winelands and Erinvale Golf course. One of the jewels of Cape Winelands golf, Erinvale is a ‘must play’ golf course nestled at the foot of the Helderberg mountains, with sweeping views of the Winelands and False Bay coastline. The Gary Player designed course was opened in 1995 by “the Master himself”, and since established its position amongst the top golfing experiences in the Western Cape. The course has an interesting and varied layout, and the back nine must be considered amongst the best in the country.
After the game a Cape Town city orientation tour to get you better acquainted with this beautiful city.
Day 10: Cape Town- Franschoek
The stay is to short, however a morning visit up Table Mountian before heading back to another part of South Africa's winelands and then French Huguenot town of Franschoek.

A morning tee-off to work off all the lovely wine and food of the night before. The course -Devonvale Golf Course. The magnificent 18-hole Championship golf course needs little introduction, offering a regular challenge to both local and international golfers alike. The original layout, designed by Ken Elkin, who designed many of the Capes better known courses, has seen several improvements over the last 5 years and is constantly undergoing improvements but still remains a true ‘country course’.
Day 12: Franschoek-George
A day to relax and look at the beautiful country side of the Western Cape. The route past lovely coastal holiday towns, with the ocean on your right and majestic mountain range on your left. Again it will be a day to plan your next trip to South Africa.
